On the 17th of September 2020, Representatives of the US Nebraska and Texas National Guard (NG) and US Embassy personnel led by MG Daryl BOHAC – Adjutant General, Nebraska National Guard, visited the Joint CBRN Defence Centre of Excellence (COE) in Vyškov, Czech Republic. Both Nebraska and Texas National Guard are State Partnership Program (SPP) partners with the Czech Republic. Through SPP, the National Guard conducts military-to-military engagements in support of defense security goals but also leverages whole-of-society relationships and capabilities to facilitate broader interagency and corollary engagements spanning military, government, economic and social spheres.

The German Defence Attaché to the Czech Republic, Lieutenant Colonel (G.S.) Holger OSWALD, visited the Joint Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defence Centre of Excellence (JCBRN Defence COE) in Vyškov on 12 June 2020. He was accompanied by attaché non-commissioned officer, Master Sergeant Maik HAHN. The visit was hosted by JCBRN Defence COE Director, Colonel David MARTÍNEK, and the Deputy Director, Colonel Wolfgang REICH.

It was the Joint CBRN Defence COE’s honour to host the CBRN Analysis Users Workshop from 3 to 4 March 2020 in cooperation with the Bruhn NewTech Company from Denmark. The former CBRN Analysis Super Users - Refresher course was replaced by a workshop to allow broader participation from and increased collaboration of the NATO HQs.

The Canadian Ambassador to the Czech Republic Ayesha Patricia Rekhi visited the Joint Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defence Centre of Excellence (JCBRN Defence COE) on 30 January 2020. The visit was hosted by the First Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Jaromír Zuna, and the outgoing and incoming JCBRN Defence COE Directors, Colonel Vratislav Osvald and Colonel David Martínek.

On January 28, 2020, Colonel David Martínek assumed command of the Joint Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defence Centre of Excellence (JCBRN Defence COE) from Colonel Vratislav Osvald during the Change of Command Ceremony. The ceremony took place at Garrison Hall of the Training Command of the Military Academy in Vyškov, Czech Republic. The First Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Jaromír Zůna, presided over the Change of Command Ceremony.
