c_270_180_16777215_0_0_images_PICTURES_2015_P1140722.JPGOn Tuesday 22 September at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, representatives from the Joint CBRN Centre of Excellence participated in one day conference about Weapons of Mass Destruction and Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear threats.

 

 

 

The conference was organized under the auspices of by NATO`s Emerging Security Challenges Division (ESCD) and the Weapons of Mass Destruction Non-Proliferation Centre (WMDC). The main goal of the event was to familiarise Allies and Partners with NATO`s work in the aforementioned areas and activities to prevent, detect and respond to CBRN risks. The speakers were invited from – among others – Science for Peace and Security (SPS) Programme, Joint Combined Chemical, Biological, Radiation and Nuclear Defence Task Force (JC-CBRND-TF), European External Action Service (EEAS) and other agencies. In the part of Science, Technology and Capability Development  the JCBRN Defence COE presented the Role of International CBRN Defence Training.


Future Forces Forum Participates in the Outreach Event at NATO HQ, Brussels

The Future Forces Forum (FFF) team represented by Mr. Pavel Zelenka, Director of Foreign Relations and Mr. Jiri Stirba, Programme Director presented the new project for 2016 and our partners.  FFF exposition was in the spotlight of the participating experts who expressed their interest in the FFF 2016 programme, especially in the World CBRN & Medical Congress. 
Future Forces Forum will allow NATO and all allied nations to share current initiatives with the relevant audience and to acquaint all participants with lessons learned from training and operations in the field of CBRN Defence; Military Medicine; Dismounted Soldier Systems; Unmanned, Autonomous and Robotic Systems; Logistics; Geospatial, Hydrometeorological and Global Navigation Satellite Systems; Cyber Defence; Counter-terrorism; and other.
