The aim of the workshop was to identify solutions for the NATO WMD/CBRN Defence Education & Training (E&T) Requirements as part of the NATO WMD/CBRND Education and Training (E&T) Discipline. The requirements were raised during the Training Requirements Analysis (TRA) Workshop in January 2019.

The JCBRN Defence COE functions as the Department Head (DH) for the NATO WMD/CBRN Defence E&T Discipline and led on matching NATO requirements with existing solutions. For NATO requirements without solutions, new course proposals (Course Control Documents II) were developed and the respective Education Training Facilities were requested on the bases of CCD II, to elaborate on the new Programme of Classes (CCD III).

Due to proactive and supportive participation of Subject Matter Experts from SHAPE J5 (Requirement Authority), JFC Naples, NATO School Oberammergau, NMIOTC and the JCBRN Defence COE, the event was a success.

In accordance with the Bi-SC Directive 075-002, the next step within the NATO WMD/CBRND E&T Discipline is the Annual Discipline Conference which will be held from 7th to 8th May 2020 in Antalya, Turkey.
