From 28 May to 01 June, the JCBRN Defence Centre of Excellence organized the 2018 iteration of the CBRN Units Evaluators Course with 8 students from CZE, ROU and SVN.
The aim of the course was to prepare the course attendees to achieve common standards in CBRN certification for the evaluation of CBRN Defence units assigned to the NATO Response Force Combined Joint Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defence Task Force (NRF CJ CBRND TF).
To achieve this aim, during the course several guest and support speakers delivered the most up-to-date and comprehensive lessons in accordance with the Allied Doctrine Standards (AFS) Combat Readiness Evaluation (CREVAL) Vol. VII., with the focus to prepare the students to conduct CREVAL in CBRN units.
The five-day course included theoretical briefings, discussions, observations from NRF exercises and syndicate work where the students had to solve different tasks.
The students evaluated the course as very useful for their current assignments and future career development. The next iteration of the CBRN Unit Evaluators Course is planned for May 2019.
