c_270_180_16777215_0_0_images_PICTURES_2019_0121_Canada_Pict.pngThe 14 December 2018 was another important day in the Joint Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defence Centre of Excellence (JCBRN Defence COE) history as the Canada became a new member of the Centre. The number of Sponsoring Nations, which have decided to support NATO’s transformation process in the CBRN Defence area, has now increased from twelve to thirteen, respectively fourteen with Austria as a Contributing Partner.

The Signing Ceremony took place in Norfolk, where representatives of all Sponsoring Nations together with representative of Canada and the Allied Command Transformation signed the respective Notes of Joining for Canadian accession to the JCBRN Defence COE.

By signing the Notes of Joining the JCBRN Defence COE became one of the largest Center of Excellence (COE) with thirteen Sponsoring Nations and one Contributing Partner within NATO COEs community.

The COE has a full establishment of personnel, and is one of the leading COEs relating to the number of SNs.
